A:  No, once you register you will receive a password and log-in that you can use on future visits.  You can change your password under “MY ACCOUNT” settings at any time.

Q:  How do the Boy Scouts make money?
A:  Every time a gift certificate is purchased the Scouts receive a significant contribution.  BE SURE TO TELL US WHICH COUNCIL YOU SUPPORT WHEN YOU REGISTER.

Q:  Can the certificate be used for tip and/or taxes?
A:  No.  Be sure to present your certificate upon ordering and tip on the total bill.  Also, there is no cash back, so be sure to spend it all.

Q:  Why would potential customers go to the Boy Scout site(s)?
A:  The Scouts aggressively market their website(s) by using the power of its millions of families and supporters.  Promotions include mailers, flyers, and the most powerful marketing tool of all – Word of Mouth.  The Scouts are able to combine the power of its families, supporters, and the participating businesses to create promotional campaigns that cannot otherwise be replicated by single businesses.

Q:  I know the Internet reaches everywhere.  Why do I care if someone hundreds of miles away learns about my business?
A:  Unlike other forms of advertising, the Boy Scout program promotes your business locally, regionally, and nationally.  This is important because it enables a person visiting your area to make a purchase decision prior to arriving.  A person planning to visit your area can go on-line, learn about your business, and purchase a gift certificate.  You have now earned that customer’s business before they even arrived.  Additionally, the on-line proprietary software allows anyone from anywhere to email a gift certificate directly to a friend or relative.  A person living hundreds of miles away can purchase and email a gift certificate to someone living within blocks of your business.

Q:  Why are the gift certificates sold with instant rewards?

A:  As a participating business you have access to a complete report detailing the number of certificates sold and redeemed.  This report is available to you 24 hours per day.

A:  Indirectly you do.  You benefit from the overspend typically associated with gift certificates.  And you receive future revenue from return business.
